Which tile size?
60 x 60 cm covers four times the area of a 30 x 30 cm tile, so a path needs a quarter as many pieces and has fewer seams. Choose it for hallways, kitchens and the space beside their bed. 30 x 30 cm is for tight spots and odd shapes — doorways, the corner by the bowl, cutting around furniture legs.
How many do I need?
Start from where they slip, not from the room size.
- Beside their bed (where most slips happen, getting up): 4–6 large tiles or 10 small.
- Bed to water bowl: 10 large or 20 small makes a 60 cm-wide path about 6 m long.
- Hallway plus kitchen: 20 large or 40 small.
